Made Equal campaign is relaunching with the goal of increasing productivity, profitability and future-proofing your workforce with a focus on every aspect of diversity and inclusivity, ranging from gender to the skill-gap, and diversity to age, to name just a few.

Across the UK manufacturing and engineering sector, there are widespread concerns around the diversity and equality of the manufacturing sector.

From an ageing workforce and an insufficient number of skilled people to the lacking number of woman and individuals from diverse backgrounds or with disabilities. Yet, despite the availability of a strong talent pool it’s crucial to target these groups to improve productivity and grow more quickly.

By having an inclusive and diverse workforce, manufacturing organisations can benefit from a variety of views and perspectives, allowing them to find more creative solutions and harness different talents to be more successful. Not only is it proven that organisations that are more diverse and inclusive perform better and are ultimately more profitable, nowadays many suppliers will only work with buyers who have a clear and identifiable inclusion and diversity policy.

Launching in November 2019, these member-only events will occur on a quarterly basis and will encourage discussion that is spearheaded by a guest speaker. So, come join us on the 20th of November at Aluna Bar Birmingham for a discussion about diversity and inclusivity, a free drink (or two), and lunch.
