Railweight Shows New Train Weighing Technology at Trako Exhibition
Railweight will be showing its train weighing technology at the Trako 2011 exhibition from the Wichary Technologies Sp. z o.o. stand 4.39.
Visitors will be able to see demonstrations of Railweight’s Weighline system and the company’s new Streamline system.
Weighline consists of a number of transducers manufactured onto the rails and a weighing processor that can then be integrated into a business system via a PC. The system will weigh trains on mainline tracks at speeds of up to 110km/h.
The OIML certified system will detect wheel, axle and wagon loads to help eliminate imbalance and overloading. The transducers have OIML Class 0.2 accuracy, high repeatability and can tolerate high dynamic overloads.
The new Streamline train weighing system from the company is claimed to be the easiest and fastest to fit in the market using “bolt-on” technology, which down to its unique design, has international patents lodged.
Streamline is installed directly on to the track without the need to remove sections of rail. Like Weighline, and with OIML R60 and R106 certificates of conformity, the system can be used to obtain weights of wagons, bogies, axles and wheels and can be integrated with an automatic vehicle identification system.
Says Paul Hines, general manager of Railweight: “We are well known world-wide for our dynamic train weighing capability. Streamline is an exciting addition to our product range and fulfils the customer need for an easy to install, accurate train weighing system with a cost effective price tag”.
